Nov. 4th

Wow it is hard to believe it is already November and that Div. 11 has been together for 2 months now.  While we were in the forest today I was thinking of the many friendships that are developing and the community we are creating together.  Our first Reader's Workshop presentations have gone very well and the students are a good audience and complimentary of their peers' reading.

Updates/Reminders/Thank you's

Art Cards are due tomorrow, if you want to place an order.  Please ensure you have  filled out the back before sending it in.  Please return even if you don't want to order as we are keeping them for your child's memory book.  Thanks!

Tomorrow is our first Spirit Friday. Students are encouraged to wear Fairview colours blue/yellow or their Fairview gear.

Thank you to everyone that completed the word search last weekend.  It was a challenging one I know and was meant to be a family activity and that you would need to help your child. Please keep working on it this weekend.

This week we have the poem 'Hug of War' in our Poetry duotangs. We have been asked to read/record for our school Remembrance Day assembly with Mrs. Roberts' class on Tuesday.  Please practice reading this over the weekend and        ensure that these are returned by Tuesday.  Thanks again for your support with this.

Please only send 1-2  Halloween treats in your child's lunch if you send them and please no lollipops.  I am encouraging them to eat something healthy first.

Leadership students are having a hot chocolate fundraiser on Friday, November 19th.  More information to follow.

Thursday, Nov. 11 there is no school due to Remembrance Day and Nov. 12  is an Non-instructional day (no school)

Nov.18th we will be posting the conference sign up  on the parent portal.   All Fairview teachers will be doing it on the 18th so that you can coordinate times with siblings.  Conferences will be on Zoom again this year and as usual your child should attend.  I will be sending home your child's work prior to the conferences.
